At the Burton Team of Investment Planning Counsel, your family is our focus.

In 1999, Chuck Burton joined the Burton Team with the goal of helping families build, protect and transfer their wealth including all aspects of life insurance, estate planning, financial planning and wealth management. Chuck is committed to working with clients to explain complex financial terms, provide sound advice on budgeting and debt consolidation and develop a personalized plan based on their entire financial picture.

Chuck also is deeply involved in the Orillia area and various community events.

C.E.(Ted) Burton utilizes his over 25 years of business experience to help individual clients and families build, maintain and transfer wealth.

In November of 2001, Ted joined Investment Planning Counsel as a Senior Financial Consultant. Ted provides a complete range of consulting services to his individual and corporate clients including portfolio, estate, tax and retirement planning.

William (Chip) Green, a member of the Burton Team, IPC Orillia, is in the business of “Helping families Build, Maintain & Transfer Wealth.”

His 15 plus years working at Major Canadian Banks & 9 plus years as an independent Financial Consultant accompanied with his Certified Financial Planning (CFP®), Elder Planning Counselor ( EPC ) and CARP recommended designations as well as his Life and Disability Insurance license all combine to provide his clients with the knowledge and professionalism they deserve.

Laurie enjoys working with clients to achieve their financial goals and dreams. Her dedication and experience in the financial industry allows her to provide the highest level of service and advice. Laurie joined Investment Planning Counsel in January 2013 and has her Bachelor of Business Administration and brings over 20 years experience in Sales and Marketing. Laurie completed the Investment Funds Institute of Canada course (IFIC) in 2016.

Tara joined the Burton Team in 2021. Before joining the team, she worked in the financial services industry.

Tara enjoys working with our clients, providing them with an effortless experience and exceptional service.

Susan joined our team in Spring 2022 and brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Susan is a graduate of Centennial College of Applied Arts with a diploma in Accounting and Business Finance.
Susan provides ongoing support to enhance the total client experience and her commitment to clients.
She enjoys traveling, reading and lots of family time with her four grandchildren.

Mandy Greenhalgh specializes in Administration with specialties in document execution and completion.  She has worked since 2008 as a professional assistant with industry leaders in the automotive field across the country in accounting, clerking & auditing.
Mandy helps facilitate and administrate many of the company’s daily functions in all areas.
She is always willing to help with a smile and a thank you when anything is asked of her.
Mandy happily lives a near off-grid lifestyle with her family in a small rural cabin.

Michelle joined Investment Planning Counsel in January 2022. She brings with her 23 years’ experience in the banking field in various roles with a strong focus on customer relations and administration duties. 
She was born & raised in Orillia, is proud to be very involved with local youth & junior sports associations, helping out & making community connections. 
Michelle is thrilled to be a part of the Burton Team and is eager to assist advisors and clients with a thorough approach and a cheerful attitude.

Sam was born and raised in Orillia and was thrilled to have moved back home to join the Burton team in the fall of 2022.
After graduating from the University of Guelph with a bachelors degree in Marketing Management, she worked in the Guelph and Waterloo area with experience in sales, marketing, social media, customer service, and administrative work. She is committed to providing great service to all clients she interacts with. 
In her spare time, Sam enjoys keeping active and travelling.
